An app that will make the lives of tattooed people and tattoo artists much easier.
What Is “Ink”?
“Ink” is a social media app for all things tattoos.
As a person with several tattoos myself, I think of my first tattoo experience almost every time I get a new one and of the many many questions I had and didn't know who to ask.
That's when I thought about a place where all of these questions get answered. especially for first-timers.
When I came up with the app content I thought: What about the artists? What can I come up with that will include the tattoo artists?
That is when I thought about making it more of a social app, where artists can upload their work, engage with potential clients, and manage their appointments.
“Ink” has all the information you need about tattoos
For people who want to get a tattoo:

Problems And How Can We Solve Them
During my research on the subject I came across a few problems that can be solved in the app.
Some of these problems are:

People I asked didn’t know where to look for information.

People are also sometime feel threatened to reach out and contact artists.

They have an idea in mind for a tattoo that they want but are unable to pinpoint the style or artist that can tattoo them in that specific style.

Tattoo artists have trouble keeping track of their many messages and their schedule.

Mix of outlets can make the process of connecting a bit difficult.

From signing up as an artist or as someone looking to get a tattoo,
looking at articles and managing your appointments.
A Few Solutions
On the main page as a “getting tattooed” user you can see posts of the artists you follow and other artists that do work in similar style to get inspired.
To get information there is a page of articles on different topics about tattoos that people would like to know more about if getting tattooed for the first time or in general.
A built in calendar shows and tidies up the artists’ schedule by automatically displaying the appointments that got booked through the app.
People can book appointments online which can help with the first time anxiety and make the first step to the tattoos world a lot easier.
The app mix different outlets and make the connection between artists and clients much easier.

All Fun And Colors
When choosing colors and fonts I wanted to keep it simple as the images of tattoos will take prominent focus in the app.
So I chose a simple variation of black, light grey, and a third color to make things pop, purple. This conveys a calming feeling while being a fun and bold color at the same time.
