In this project at “Shenkar Handesaim” we were assigned different kind of brands and were asked to design an e-commerce website.
I was assigned to design a website for a sun and eye glasses brand.
This project was focused on UI as it was one of our first projects in the course.
Frames Everywhere
First, I knew I wanted the website to give a clean and luxurious feeling.
While making the wireframes, I tried to make sure I kept a simple structure for the website because in my opinion, luxury can be expressed as minimalism and concentration on the things that matter in a design.
Colors, Typography & More
While thinking about the actual design and colors I wanted to use, I again decided to keep it simple and clean and went with black and white with a gold accent color, not too tacky and a little muted kind of gold. To represents the luxury feeling that I wanted to convey.
The gold accent color is being used as a third color for some titles such as for the sale banner, buttons, and in the images of the website as an effect.
